This CANNOT wait for tomorrow!

So all the Department Staff went over to the Dept. Head's house today for a leisurely lunch (which was fabulous!) Lois, his wife cooked such wonderful food and made it such a lovely atmosphere. But here's the best part. She gave me a Christmas Present. A really kick ass Christmas Present! Not only am I now the owner of a swift, but I am the owner of an ANTIQUE swift!!!




I left it there, but she's gonna come into town with it and give me and it a ride home. It's in really great working condition. A couple of the spool-like things are chipped a bit, but it's beautiful!! And I just *LOVE* owning things with history :) There was even a tiny bit of handspun wrapped around one of the spool-things! I was debating whether I should buy a swift or a ball winder and I couldn't decide and just decided to leave it be. I guess all that good karma is paying off ;)
