Mim's Knitting Frenzy

Follow the dark and skeery path into the dank recesses of Miriam's mind. There you will find many a knitting needle and the occasional ominous crochet hook. Sinister looking book presses and towering stacks of paper. Where various handcrafts lurk waiting to pounce on the unsuspecting...

More than I'm sure you care to know.

YAY! My secret pal rocks! I got 2 packages in the mail yesterday, with wonderful stuff inside!

That's the New Knitting Stitch Library, and 2 Nick and Nora bags with sock monkeys on them, and a wristaff, which carries your centerpull ball so you can hang it from your wrist for portable knitting! Fan-freakin'-tabulous! Thanks so much Secret Pal! I've already commandeered the smaller one as my new knitting notions bag.

I used to use a black leather pencil case (which I loved), but it just didn't fit the knit chek gauge that I wanted to be able to carry around. Which brings me to an interesting bit (at least I hope someone will find it interesting). This is what is in my notions bag.

So here we have:

-Knit Chek needle and stitch gauge
-Silver Stork scissors
-Stitch Holder
-Bobby Pins
-Tapestry Needles in 2 different sizes
-Row counters
-Tape Measure
-Memory Card Case full of coilless safety pins
-Empty Sewing Machine Bobbin (very useful for winding off yarn or holding reinforcing nylon thread for sock heels.
-Burt's Bee's Hand Salve for any unsightly hangnails so they don't catch on my knitting.
-Tube of erasers for a Pentel Mechanical Pencil
-Roundy bag filled with stitch markers and large safety pins.
-Hand carved and beaded hair stick.

And in the background, you can see my Nalgene with my "Ladies Sewing Circle and Terrorist Society" sticker on it. :)
